Mondays make me sleepy!

So! It's a new year! And I don't really have a lot to update on. But I gotta start making an effort to start blogging again. I don't know what happened there. But I just up and quit and I was doing so well! Oh well.. It's just.. I'm pretty sure a few things have happened since the last time I wrote but I can't really remember.

Christmas..
It was Christmas in Craik this year. All in all it was a pretty good time. A little sad because of the loss of Blake's aunt Cindy earlier this year. But other than that we had a really good time. Blake bought me 2 pairs of Puma shoes and a TNA hoodie for Christmas. It would have been super awesome if the metal tag was off and the shoes fit but we got it figured out eventually. Blake's parents gave us a serving tray, serving utensils, a cook book ( hint hint right?), and a fake tree (mostly for Abby).
We also visited Blake's grandma in Saskatoon. A very very busy Christmas needless to say.
We also bought a huge tv during Boxing Week at Best Buy. We had to buy a BluRay player and 9 on BluRay too. Yay.

New Years...
We went to our friend Tyler's place and we had a few drinks. I didn't but Blake did. I was DD as usual. :D It was nice to see everyone again though because we don't get to see a lot of anyone when we come up to Edmonton now. We just see our family and don't have time for anything else.
Anyways.. we did my family Christmas New Years Day. I got awesome movies from my siblings, Up, Coraline, Fight Club, and Monsters Vs. Aliens. I also got a cute pink robe to match my many pigs. :D and a super cute green shirt from Katie the fashionista (because I apparently don't have style), a wicked awesome Starbucks Coffee mug that I use EVERYDAY! from my lovely sister Erin who works there. Money from my parents so that I can save up to buy my Dyson vacuum cleaner, because I want one soo very badly. Pictionary and a Taylor Swft CD from my Nana and Papa. To which I recieved the same Taylor Swift CD from my sisters bf Tobin (and that I still have to exchange for something else... don't know what but maybe something awesome will come out that I can get),and Pride and Prejudice and Sea Monsters from Devan. So that was a good time.

Work...
Has been good but not so busy. Which is nice and sucks at the same time. Everyone was telling me it slows down in January, but I didn't realize how much! I think though that since it's warm people aren't really caring about their fireplaces and whatnot, since there was only the those few freezing weeks in December. Also, January has been shaping up to be nice and warm, so gotta love that!

Well... I guess I've been losing weight. I don't know how, since I haven't really changed too much besides eating healthier but I guess that's all it takes. And I really love hearing that too.

This past weekend, Blake and I finally got to watch Watchmen. We started watching over the holidays but never got to watch the whole thing. Very good movie! and Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs. I loved it! So funny! I'm considering purchasing it as well. It appears though that I will have a ton of cartoon movies in my movie collection but that's kinda how I like it. They look awesome on our tv too, so we all win! I also bought Star Trek this week on BluRay. Wow! Does it ever look awesome! Really glad that I have that in my collection as well. Wicked! Hehe

Anyways. Gotta work now.

Jamaica! ... and then back to reality.

Okay... so I guess it's fair to say that's been awhile since I wrote something in here. Not like I don't have a few things going on but yeah.. Just busy..

So Jamaica was amazing. The whole time there was fantastic. I can't wait to go somewhere like that again.

We did a whole lotta sitting around on the beach and drink, which was awesome! But we also went shopping. Scary experience for sure! And the price of everything didn't make it seem like we were getting an actual deal. Since we were paying in american money.. so I don't know if we actually saved. But it was fun none the less! Also, we went to Dunn's River Falls! So much fun! I didn't realize that we were going to be travelling up a rock waterfall and I "didn't want to get into water" well.. I was soaking wet after that. Haha. So much for my plan for the day. We also met a lot of great people from the states and we basically were with them the whole time. It made it better by getting to meet people... and that way I didn't have to get too drunk everyday like Blake wanted to. Haha.

So reality..

Got back and it's been slow at work. I have things to do everyday but it's not as busy as before I went on the trip. So... I guess that's good.

I can't believe it's December already. We put up our Christmas tree on Saturday. We had to go to Walmart and get everything, since it was our first time putting one up. It was fun. Now we just have the problem of Abby trying to take the bulbs off the tree. She's just so excited. :D

So many things have been going wrong with my car since before we left. Here's the list of good times. :P

First, I go to a lame oil change place known for "doing it right"(pfft.. right!), for an oil change and they convince me to get my fuel filter changed so I was like suuure.. Well. I was there for 2 hours! They didn't have the right fuel filter and when they did finally put it on I drove away a few blocks and my car broke down in the middle of the street. Humiliating to say the least. Then after the fixed it they only gave me $30 of of my total bill when I should have gotten the whole thing for free after the way I was treated there. Whatever. I'm never going back and I recommend that no one ever does.

Secondly, the first big snow fall here in Calgary and I'm driving home after work. Of course I should have taken a bus of gone a different way... either way... I hit a curb. $1532 later and I got my car back from Ford. Hey, it only took 2 days for them to fix it which was pretty awesome.:D

Thirdly, my stupid check tire pressure light has been on since Tuesday. Because of this cold weather it thinks my tires are flat.. I've checked it and even went to Ford for them to look at it and they said it was going to go off after 15km. (Not true) But I'm probably stuck with it till Spring.  :( ... or until the cold weather goes away.

So since I can't really do anything outside.. since it's cold... I've been knitting again. This time I'm making my housewarming gift to Amanda. Yup. Dishcloths! :D  Haha it's lame but at least I'm not reading Twilight for the 6th or 7th time. :P Speaking of Twilight... I loved loved loved! New Moon. Specially the second time... because I noticed the movie poster for "Face Punch".  This was on the poser --.>"Let's Do This!" Haha. My new favourite saying! LOL's.

I'm excited because last weekend we made plans with Amanda and Sean to have a movie/game/pizza night but the weather was terrible (really, really bad!), so this weekend we are going to do it! So at least this week I'll have something to look forward too. I wonder what movie we will watch! :D

My first 24 hours!!!

To Jamaica!!
So Friday night, we get to edmonton... Visit my parentals and have some supper. After that, drop off the cat and head over to meet Dre and Mels new bundle of joy! So cute! Go back to blakes parents and then head to the airport!
Once at the airport it's been smooth sailing since. In the air and in about... 2 hours we will be landing in Mo Bay! Blake has been chatty with a passenger(Sheldon) who was in Canada visiting his family and now he's heading back home. He's a nice guy. I've been napping on and off. :) 

... Bus ride to the resort now. I'm so tired. The ride is crazy!!! He's speeding past people and not signaling and we aren't wearing seat belts. It's all good though. I'm very excited!!!

Arrived at the resort!! It's soo beautiful!!! We headed up to our room and checked everything out. Everyone is super friendly and nice and calling everyone mon haha. Soon we are going to supper. Buffet style. But I'm rediculously tired so I think after supper it's bedtime. :)

So. What's new?

Work has been good. I met the founder of the company today. He was pretty quiet. I probably talked to him once today, and that was because he was introduced to me. Haha. I've been learning lots of stuff still. I just learned invoicing! :D I think that Vinnie is pretty happy having me around. I make a few misktakes, but it's nothing he can't fix... haha. :P But I'm definitely still enjoying my time there. :D

Working out has been going... I dunno how well, but it's going. I haven't weighed myself in awhile and I don't feel like I've lost any weight. But at least I've been eating healthier... and I'm still sore from my run the other day! *cross your fingers for me... 22 more sleeeps till Jamaica!!!! :P

In other awesome news.... I got a call from my friend Rachel on Friday. She asked me to be her bridesmaid! I'm very very excited for this. I can't wait till April 2011 now. :D Blake and I are going to be in their wedding party. Dan and Rachel have picked this castle looking place for the wedding, and the colors, and the location (BC!). It's going to be awesome. Either way... I'm going to have to start saving some money for the trips there to help pick out a wedding dress and dresses for the bridesmaids... :D

I went to a wicked awesome card making party at Karen's. I love making them even though I can't really afford to buy any of the stuff... I also can't wait for Amanda's card making party.... I hope that's still happening, because I'm pretty sure she's going to be busy with moving out!:D

Hmm.... so this weekend I want to watch my Transformers 2 Blu Ray!! I bought it on Tuesday when I also purchased the New Moon Soundtrack (which is amazing and came with a wicked awesome clip from the movie)  and it comes with cool holographic thing too. :D I'm probably going to have a Transformers weekend. I watched this wicked video yesterday on youtube. Here's the link!

It's totally awesome that you have to watch all the way to the end.

Anyways... I'm going to watch The Office. It's already hilarious!!! :D

Wow Time Flies.

So. It's been awhile. This is the first entry of October too and it's already the 9th. So.. what have I been up too.

Hmmm... We just booking a trip to JAMAICA! :D I'm so excited the place looks gorgeous! It's a couples resort there called Couple Tower Isle. All Inclusive and so many other goodies. We are so excited. We joined the public forum on the website (http://www.couples.com/) and have been talking to people that are going to be there at the same time as us. :D So time to start working out. I want to lose like 20 lbs, but will be happy if I lose 10 lbs by the time our trip happens so cross your fingers for me. :D

The only sucky thing is....

Blake and I are going the same time that Matt Good is suppose to be coming to Calgary (that I was so excited to get tickets for) and the same week that New Moon premieres. But it ain't no thing. I have given the tickets to my sister and her boyfriend and they are happy to take them (at least Tobin was) and I'll catch him another time AND! I bought tickets to New Moon on the Monday just in case it's retarded and we can't get tickets, which might end up happening. :D

In other news, Blake and I have basically been homebodies. Watching movies (Last House on the Left, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Away We Go), eating in, knitting (lots for Karen and going to start doing some for Amanda), playing video games (we bought the new Wii Fit Plus game). We have been trying to save money because going up to Edmonton is always expensive no matter who we see or what we do, and now that we have the trip to save for it's even more reason for us to be saving. :D But it's to Edmonton this weekend for Thanksgiving! Turkey on Saturday, Blake parents and Sunday, my parents. I made the best looking (I say looking because I have yet to taste) cupcakes for the weekend. I'm excited to try them. Blake has and he is happy with them so there ya go. :D

Anyways. Time to get back to work for a couple hours. Woo!

One of these weekends... I'd actually like to relax.

That was definitely not the case this past weekend.

Friday I was at work. My last day alone without Vinnie. Thank goodness he's back this week. Too much pressure when I'm by myself. After work, we went to the football game. It was actually so much fun. I didn't think it would be because I don't really care either way if BC Lions win or Calgary Stampeders win. But Calgary won. So at least the atmosphere was enjoyable. That and we had really terrific seats. Courtesy of Blake's co worker Harold. He has had the seats for I think he said 25 years. Crazy huh?

The traffic afterwards however was unbearable. The police were running the show because for some reason the lights were out. Lame. Oh well. We ended up getting home at 1130. Then passing out.

Saturday. I slept in. Yup. :D Till 1030/1040.. somewhere in between there I woke up. That was awesome. I did some laundry and by the time I was finished that.... well... it was time to head to Okotoks. We were going to go to this Rider Day thing at a pub there. But they ended up cancelling it this year. Oh well. No big deal. We ended up watching the game and drinking a few pilsners at Chris' house there. Lots of fun. The Roughriders ended up winning that game too. So all in all for sports. The teams that I would have liked to win.. did! :D

After the game we went for greasy bar food at the George there. I wish I had taken a picture. It looked exactly like Cheers. It even had a staircase for Kelsey Gramer to come down. Haha.

After the bar we headed back to Chris' place and Brandy and me ended up watching Chris and Blake play House of the Dead or something like that. I ended up having a nap. :P

By the time we got home it was 1130 again. Haha. Blake was tired... (from drinking) so he passed out. But I stayed up and watched SNL. Megan Fox was actually funny, and U2 totally broke the rules. You could tell that they were suppose to cut down their songs but Bono was like.. "No mate. I'm playing all night long." - or something along those lines. I made more dish cloths. :D It only takes me an hour and a half to make one now. :D I'm a fast knitter. :D

Also in other news, Mandy left for Vegas! I just hope she is having a wicked awesome time. But of couse she is because not only is she going with her bestest friend, she also is seeing Britney Spears. I hope she has taken lots of pictures. :D I'll find out when she comes home on Saturday... or more than likely I'll find out when she is alive on Sunday. Haha.

Sunday was awesome. Blake and I went grocery shopping. Came home and cleaned the house. Then we made dinner really early so that we could nibble on it all night. It's Blake's favourite thing to do if your wondering. We made scallop potatoes and ham and creamed corn. Yum! Then I made brownies. :D They turned out perfectly. They had just come out of the oven when our friends Dan and Rachel (the ones who moved to Victoria) came over. They had a race in Banff this weekend and Rachel has a citizenship test this week. Actually today. So hopefully she passes it! :D Good Luck Rach!

But the really awesome thing that happened this weekend was Rach and Daniel...... GOT ENGAGED THIS WEEKEND! It was such a cute story. He got up in front of a bunch of people on a mic and asked her to marry him. I was in tears when I heard this. It is so awesome for them.. Plus when I heard that he got the ring even before they headed out to Victoria that was just awesome. Back in May or something like that. :D

So besides the story of their engagement, we ended up playing Beatles Rockband all night. I got to play the drums finally. So much fun. I wish we had a really drum seat though. I think that's all we need and then we are set.
